Fractured Lace Lightcycle 2014

This sustainable pendant light was designed with found objects around our studio. Shredded paper (drawings), cardboard tube, acetate and string are all materials that would’ve been disregarded as waste. It has been a joy to repurpose them into something both beautiful and functional. The cardboard tube and acetate was used to create the rigid, sculptural form. The shredded paper was used to achieve an organic pixilation of material and a soft graduation of light…the appearance of ‘fractured lace.’
